Annual Garden Party at Government House June 19

first_imgThe public is invited to attend the annual Lieutenant Governor’s Garden Party on Wednesday, June 19, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc and Mrs. LeBlanc will host the garden party on the grounds of Government House in Halifax. The 50th anniversary of official bilingualism in Canada will be marked as part of this year’s garden party. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Bridgewater Fire Department Band and les Sœurs Doucet – Céline and Danelle. “Patsy and I look forward to welcoming Nova Scotians and visitors to this annual reception,” said Lt.-Gov. LeBlanc. “The garden party marks the start of our summer events and it is a cherished opportunity to meet everyone at the ceremonial home of all Nova Scotians. All are welcome.” Those planning to attend the party should enter Government House through the main entrance on 1451 Barrington St. Parking is not available at Government House, but is available on surrounding streets and lots.
